Personal style should always be a reflection of your unique personality. You can buy trends but it’s what you do with these latest fashion pieces that shout true STYLE!
So let’s check out what Summer 18/19 fashion trends we should be incorporating into our wardrobes.

A pretty pastel palette has us screaming out for a tequila sunrise at sunset this Summer! Silk maxi’s and 90’s inspired slip dresses and skirts not only look like Summer 18/19 but feel fabulous to wear. Other key colours for the season have been influenced by precious stones – ruby and garnet reds, deep greens, yellow topaz, sapphire blue. Be still my bejeweled heart!

Let talk swimsuits (I’ve styled many cool swimsuit shoots in 2018 – it’s one of my fave things to do). Key looks for the season are belted one pieces, pastel and smocked bikinis (full brief ad high cut are both totally cool right now), one shouldered designs and colours like olive green, chocolate and pops of purple and aqua. Check out these local labels I have had the pleasure of playing with this year.

You will notice the return of the shell jewellery – do you remember the shell puka necklaces we wore in the 90’s? Shell out for some sea inspired bling over the next few months.

The wave of luxe ‘hair wear’ keeps coming. Scarves, head wraps, urban style turbans, velvet scrunchies, wide brim hats and all things decorative should adorn our heads for Summer.

Other fabulousness for Summer is the return of the puffy balloon sleeve, ruffles and lace. Do you dare to wear the super puffer sleeve?

Vegan accessories continue to dominate the popularity stakes with high end designer labels seeking out alternative fabrics and practices to embrace the swing towards ethical fashion.

For the gents we are seeing print and stripes and tropical delights. Vertical stripes, checks and florals in a short sleeve shirt ticks all the boxes.
